Pacific Carbon Trust

Pacific Carbon Trust (PCT) is a provincial Crown corporation with a mandate to deliver quality BC-based greenhouse gas offsets to help clients meet their carbon reduction goals and to support growth of the industry in B.C. PCT contacted Sage to help them deliver their message with a new website, and a Content Management System (CMS) to facilitate regular updates. Sage provided web design, CMS implementation and hosting, as well as ongoing training and support.

LiveSmart BC - Lifestyle Carbon Calculator

LiveSmartBC came to Sage needing quick turn around for developing a carbon calculator to be implemented on its website. The calculator had to be simple and quick to use for all BC residents and be ready in time for public announcement at the Premiers Conference. The LiveSmartBC team had clear idea of what they wanted the calculator to do and looked to Sage to recommend how to do it. Not only was the timeframe incredibly short, but government website infrastructure restrictions meant that only JavaScript and HTML could be used to create it. Sage exceeded expectations by coming up with a complex, yet simple to use, calculator using AJAX to minimize user clicks and keep everything on one page. Sage added failsafe features to walk users through the process and stop incorrect results occurring when required steps were omitted. Sage pulled out all the stops and completed all of this within the timeframe, much to the appreciation of LiveSmartBC.

Learn and Live in British Columbia

The Ministry of Advanced Education wished to increase awareness of B.C. education opportunities to students from abroad. The Sage team was able to work closely with the Ministry to re-brand the website to compliment their print and DVD materials.

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools Website Development Project

In a partnership with CGI, Sage has designed a series of custom web site templates for use by the parent MNPS organization, as well as themed interface designs for all schools under its jurisdiction. These designs have been integrated into an enterprise level Content Management System (CMS).

Saanich Peninsula Website Development Project

In a partnership with CGI, Sage designed interfaces for the Saanich Peninsula Joint Website Development Project. The Town of Sidney website has been developed as part of a cooperative project with neighbouring municipalities, the District of North Saanich and the District of Central Saanich. Stunning designs and integration into an enterprise level CMS solution were all part of the end result for Sidney, North and Central Saanich.

BC's Trans Canada Trail

The vision behind the Trans Canada Trail is to build a trail from Newfoundland to British Columbia, linking Canadian communities, parks and wilderness areas. Sage was chosen to create this site in 2001 to showcase BC's communities along the Trans Canada Trail, by creating a site which provides detailed information of the areas and printable PDF maps, highlights points of interest and historical sites along the trail, and suggests trips of varying lengths to the trail's cyclists.

Ministry of Education - Common Student Information System (BCeSIS)

Sage was chosen by the Ministry of Education to assist in managing a comprehensive Extranet site for the exclusive use of school boards, independent schools and band schools across British Columbia. Sage was asked to provide a web site upgrade, ongoing maintenance, a Content Management Solution and support, and several new features. These additional features include: a dynamic FAQ system, managed by a group of content contributors, a customized site search function to access a range of document formats (HTML, PDF, DOC, XLS), and a sophisticated referendum system to allow all stakeholders to participate in a democratic process for important issues in a fully web-enabled process.

National Forest Information System (NFIS)
